Privacy Notice

Last updated: January 2026. Plain language, no legal tricks.

Short version: Advoke CV does not have a server that stores your resume. Everything you type stays in your browser. The site does not use analytics that capture the contents of your resume. The site does not use third-party fonts or scripts that could see your data.

What Advoke CV stores, and where

When you use the editor, the following data is stored in your browser's localStorage under the origin advoke-cv.pages.dev:

  • Your resume drafts, including every field you fill in (name, contact details, experience, education, and any other section you complete).
  • Your design preferences (selected template, typography, accent colour, spacing, paper size).
  • A small amount of non-identifying state, such as whether you have visited the editor before.

None of this data is transmitted anywhere. It exists only inside the browser you are using, on the device you are using.

What Advoke CV does not collect

  • Advoke CV does not run analytics that track the content of your resume.
  • Advoke CV does not use advertising networks or tracking pixels.
  • Advoke CV does not set third-party cookies.
  • Advoke CV does not load fonts, scripts, or styles from third-party CDNs.
  • Advoke CV does not have an account system, so there is nothing to sign into.
  • Advoke CV does not require or accept a payment method.

What your browser might tell the site's host

Like any website, Advoke CV is served by a hosting provider (Cloudflare Pages) that may log basic request information for operational and security purposes. This is standard for any website and includes the IP address that requested the page, the user agent, the URL requested, and the time of the request. It does not include the content of your resume, because the content never leaves your browser.

Your control over your data

You have two simple ways to remove your Advoke CV data:

  • From inside the editor: open the Drafts tab and use the "Delete every draft" action. This removes every Advoke CV draft and preference from your browser.
  • From your browser settings: clear the site data for advoke-cv.pages.dev. This removes everything, including individual drafts you may have wanted to keep. That is why we do not have a "clear automatically" button — deleting is a deliberate action.

Browser-local storage has limits

Because drafts live in your browser, they can be lost in a few normal scenarios:

  • Clearing your browser's site data or cookies for this site.
  • Using the site in a private or incognito window, where storage is often cleared when the window closes.
  • Changing browsers or devices. Drafts do not sync.
  • Browser storage being reset by an operating system update or cleanup tool.

If a draft matters a lot, export it to PDF and save the PDF somewhere outside the browser as well.

Children

Advoke CV is not directed at children under 13 and does not knowingly collect information from them. If you are a parent or guardian and believe a child has used the site, note that no data was ever transmitted to us in the first place — there is nothing on our side to delete.

Changes to this notice

If this notice changes materially, the "last updated" date at the top will change. The plain-language approach will not change.

Contact

Questions about privacy can be raised through the public repository once it is available. Until then, the summary above is the entirety of our position: nothing leaves your device.
